If we would have to choose the perfect environment to enjoy our Row & Sail boats at their best, we would dream about little channels for rowing, windy lakes for sailing, and a place with preserved nature and beautiful little cities… This dream came true with the destination of our second XP Owners meeting, which took place in the stunning landscapes and water bodies of Friesland, Netherlands.
Last year, we gathered all together with XP16 and XP20 owners in the lake next to Liteboat workshop, lake of Bourget, to exchange, sail, row, and enjoy all together on our playful toys (watch video here). After this great meeting, we all agreed that we should do it again the next year, for a longer period, to discover another place and spend good times together. Our chance was to have in our group Josien, a Dutch owner of a XP20, who helped organize the 2023 XP week in her home place, Friesland.
We gathered with 17 owners and 11 boats in the beautiful city of Heeg to start our adventure.
The first day was windy welcome, with extremely strong winds, which made impossible any navigation. We prepared the boats all together to be ready for the next day, and joined our hotel for the week, a beautiful old barge that would host us during our navigation, and be our motherboat. We had time to present ourselves and exchange about our experience with the XP, our wishes for this meeting, and discover with our local owners Josien the amazing possibilities that this area of Friesland offers for adventurers.
