Today, discover more about Mathieu, the sailor of the company!
What is your work at Liteboat ?
I arrived in the team in September 2020 during my work-study training. Originally from Brittany, I brought my knowledge in the field of sailing. I take care of the monitoring and management of the Row & Sail range, made up of two boats, the XP 16 and the XP 20.
This function is very transversal, I am in contact with the production team for the technical aspect of the boats and the development of accessories, but also with customers to advise them as best as possible by phone, email or during demo days.
What makes you motivated about this work ?
What I really like about my job is the versatility of my missions, which allows me to be in contact with different kind of people. The composite workshop, the finishing workshop, the logistics or even the sales department. There is a great team spirit at Liteboat, with always a lot of attention, rigor and also a little humor... At Liteboat, we are all outdoor enthusiasts and share the same values!
What are your links to sport and outdoor activities ?
I love outdoor sports for the feeling of freedom they provide and for the pleasure of glide. I regularly practice mountain biking, paragliding, ski touring or sailing. It's a chance to be able to take advantage of this environment, it pushes me to try to preserve it.
If you should choose one boat in the range, which one would you take ?
The boat that suits me best would be the XP 16, it is an easy-to-use boat that allows you to enjoy any body of water close to home. I am very attached to this feeling of freedom which often rhymes with simplicity. Its versatility allows you to enjoy both windless days with rowing, and windy sessions to pull long tacks under gennaker!
