“Just look around you. You will see only nature.” Sissel and I are both flabbergasted of the surroundings with mountains and fjords in the north of Norway.
A few weeks ago, Tor (our dealer in Norway) and his wife decided to go on a tour in the north of Norway, here is their story.
On our way we have made stops in Trondheim, Vega, Rana and Steigen where we have met old and new customers, done test-rowings and even transported a brand new LiteRace 1X to a thrilled new owner. Here, at 69 degrees north, we calm down, and find the most spectacular landscapes and fjords for rowing. The water is crystal clear, the eagles are high in the sky, and now, in the middle of summer, the midnight sun continues its path over the mountains through the night. We can row both day and night!
Five years have passed since Liteboat Norway went as far north as we are now. This time, just as last time, have been a success in terms of weather and rowing conditions, but most of all, the people we meet on our way. We took the ferry between the islands of Senja and Andoya the other day, a couple of locals suddenly ran over to our car with the LiteDUO on the roof. In pure enthusiasm, the woman said; “Is that really a rowing boat!? I can tell by the oars! Look at that boat, John! That’s the most beautiful rowing boat I have ever seen. Is it for two people? That’s the boat that can turn our struggling exercise into fun for both of us, John!” John smiled. “We need to look into this, dear.”
Well, we cannot say anything else than the fact that rowing is for everybody, especially in a Liteboat.
